How to Block Website On Mac OS Using Terminal

Sometimes we want to block a website that is not safe for our child or a website that does not want to visit such as social media that currently take up a lot of our time to open a website that sometimes makes us forget what we will do.
Here I will let you know simple way to block a website

1. Open Terminal.
2. Type in terminal "sudo nano /etc/hosts" press enter/return
3. Type your password, this password using your mac login password.
4. You will see nano editor /etc/hosts.

5. Find "127.0.0.1 localhost" then using down arrow.
6. Type in "127.0.0.1 e.g twitter.com.
7. Enter new line the type www.twitter.com for make sure.
8. Now, press and hold Control (on your keyboard) + O to save change your host
9. Then press and hold Control + X to exit the terminal screen.
10. Then type sudo dscacheutil -flushcache in the command line.
11. Try to open your website already blocking, you will see “Unable to connect” error message.
